Trained in the psychological sciences, she is widely known for her pioneering work in neuroeconomics and the application of neuroscience to financial decision-making. Her early academic research explored the neurological foundations of human behavior; her Master’s thesis, “The Neurobiology of Freud’s Theory of the Repetition Compulsion,” was later published in the Annals of Modern Psychoanalysis and cited as one of the earliest contributions to the emerging field of neuro-psychoanalysis.

Professionally, Denise has built a distinguished career advising Wall Street traders, institutional investors, and elite athletes on overcoming cognitive biases, mental performance slumps, and confidence crises.
