Dr. Evan D. Kharasch, MD, PhD serves as Director and Scientific Advisor at ARMR Sciences Inc., where he brings decades of world-class expertise in anesthesiology, clinical pharmacology, and translational science. His pioneering research and leadership have advanced understanding of drug disposition, safety, and individualized pharmacotherapy — insights that are critical to developing novel therapeutic strategies.

Dr. Kharasch is Merel H. Harmel Distinguished Professor of Anesthesiology at Duke University School of Medicine, a leading academic medical center. His clinical and scientific work focuses on anesthetic and analgesic drug development, mechanisms of drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenetics, and patient-centered drug therapy optimization. He has led federally funded research programs for more than three decades and authored hundreds of peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and clinical reviews that have shaped both scientific understanding and clinical practice.

Among Dr. Kharasch’s many contributions, he played an integral role in the evaluation and clinical acceptance of one of the most widely used anesthetic agents in the world, helping improve safety and outcomes for millions of surgical patients globally. Dr. Kharasch received both his MD and PhD degrees from Northwestern University and completed his clinical training in anesthesiology at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
