Robert Ragland

Senior Director of Quality Management Systems

Robert Ragland serves as Senior Director of Quality Management Systems at ARMR Sciences Inc., where he leads the design, implementation, and governance of the company’s integrated quality framework. He is responsible for establishing scalable, inspection-ready systems that ensure compliance across development, manufacturing, and lifecycle management activities supporting ARMR’s preventive biologics platform.

Robert brings more than 25 years of global pharmaceutical and biotechnology quality leadership experience, with deep expertise in GMP quality systems, compliance strategy, and product lifecycle governance. Prior to joining ARMR, he served as Senior Director of Quality Systems and Compliance at Pliant Therapeutics, where he oversaw enterprise-wide quality infrastructure and regulatory inspection readiness. Before Pliant, he held the role of Senior Director of QMS and Product Lifecycle Governance at FibroGen, leading global quality system integration and governance initiatives.

Earlier in his career, Robert began in quality roles at Bayer and went on to charter the Global Change Control program for Stiefel, a GlaxoSmithKline company. He also managed global quality complaints and deviation systems for the Emeryville site of Novartis Diagnostics, strengthening compliance frameworks across regulated operations.

Throughout his career, Robert has led the establishment and modernization of GMP quality systems, including internal and external compliance programs, global change control structures, inspection readiness strategy, and computer system validation initiatives. He brings disciplined operational rigor and regulatory fluency to ARMR, ensuring that quality systems evolve in parallel with the company’s scientific and clinical advancement.

Robert holds a Bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University.
